In each Preparatory, we will give you a recipe for a typical dish from another country. With our close-up on Greece and the Netherlands, we have chosen a typical Dutch dish: pannekoeken. Easy to make and really delicious!
– 2 eggs
– 250 gr flour
– 0,5 litre milk
– real butter
Mix the eggs with a bit of salt. Add the flour and stir. Bit by bit, mix in the milk until you have a smooth mixture without lumps.
On a low flame, heat up a bit of butter in a frying pan. Add just enough of the mix to thinly cover the bottom. Wait until you see that the bottom is dry but the top side is still a bit moist and flip the pancake to fry the top side. Ready when both sides are dry and golden brown. Repeat this until all the mixture has been used up.
To serve, take a pancake and cover it with ‘stroop’ (pekmez), powdered sugar, honey, fruit, jam or even nutella and roll them up. Eer smakeljk!
