What’s on Izmir?: Halloween Party

Between fall and winter, life and death, Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition. It is thought to have started in Ireland, England and Northern France, with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off roaming ghosts. These days, it is celebrated all over the world and even here in Izmir! One party was held in the Kordon, Alsancak where about 50 young people got together after a Facebook invite. They were all dressed up and joked with each other. We had a great time. by Esra Melike Ersoy
